Welcome to FinDash. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the application.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the FinDash mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using or installing the application.

2. Eligibility and User Responsibility

FinDash is designed to help users track and manage business finances.

  • You are entirely responsible for the financial, business, and preference information you enter into the app.
  • Because FinDash runs locally on your device, you are responsible for maintaining the physical and digital security of your device (including PIN, passwords, and biometric locks).

3. User Data and Ownership

  • You retain absolute ownership of all data you input into FinDash, including transactions, categories, recurring schedules, closing history, company profile information, and preferences.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date for reliable calculations.

4. Service Operation & Local Processing

FinDash is an offline-first, local application. The core operations are executed directly on your device, which includes:

  • Transaction and category tracking.
  • Recurring transaction scheduling and automation management.
  • Closing and reporting calculations.
  • Runway, BEP, profit, cash, and equity calculations.
  • Local storage via Room database and local settings.
  • On-device JSON backup and restore actions.
🔒 Privacy Core: FinDash does not operate a cloud backend and does not require an external server to process your business records or generate financial metrics.

5. Backup, Restore, and Sharing

  • File Responsibility: When you export or restore a backup, the generated JSON file may contain sensitive business financial information. You are solely responsible for reviewing the content before sharing it and choosing trusted storage folders, apps, or contacts.
  • Data Overwrite Notice: Restoring a backup completely overwrites current local app data with the contents of the selected backup file. You are fully responsible for ensuring the correct backup file is selected.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Any future premium features, purchases, or licensing options will be handled securely through the official platform app store (e.g., Google Play Store). Unless clearly stated in a premium tier listing, FinDash is provided primarily as an informational financial utility.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You explicitly agree not to:

  • Attempt to modify, decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the source code of the application binary.
  • Misrepresent generated finance or business metrics as official accounting, tax, legal, or investment determinations.
  • Interfere with the app's local database, configuration files, backup files, or normal execution.
  • Use the app to make high-risk financial, tax, or legal decisions without independent professional review.

8. Financial, Accounting, and Legal Disclaimer

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICEFinDash is a tracking and estimation tool. It does not provide professional financial, accounting, tax, legal, employment, investment, or business advice.All cash flow metrics, runway estimates, BEP calculations, profit trends, and equity data are generated solely from user-provided inputs and simplified mathematical assumptions. Actual financial outcomes, tax liabilities, professional accounting treatments, and corporate results may differ drastically depending on your industry, local regulations, and active business contracts.Always consult a certified public accountant (CPA), qualified financial advisor, or legal expert before making major business, investment, corporate tax, or operational decisions.

9. Limitations of Liability & Data Risks

  • "As-Is" Provision: The application is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free metrics, or universal compatibility with all Android versions, file managers, or cloud backup providers.
  • Local Data Vulnerability: Because your data is not synced to a cloud server, local data may be permanently lost due to device failure, clearing app storage/cache via system settings, database corruption, OS updates, manual backup restore mistakes, or app uninstallation. We are not liable for any data loss incurred.
  • External Backups: Exported JSON backup files remain accessible outside the app after saving; securing these files is your sole responsibility.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms periodically. Continued use of the application after an update constitutes your explicit acceptance of the revised Terms.
