This Privacy Policy governs the FinDash mobile application and explains how we manage your data. FinDash is designed as an offline-first business finance tracker to help you manage your cash flow and runway.

1. Information We Process

The data processed by the application depends entirely on the features you use. All data listed below is stored locally on your device.

1.1 Financial Records

To track business cash flow and financial health, the app processes:

Transactions: Income and expense records (amounts, dates, categories, and types).
Closing History: Period income, period expenses, net profit, and ending cash balances.
Recurring Schedules: Automation templates and processing dates for recurring transactions.

1.2 Business Profile & Preferences

The app stores local configurations to personalize your dashboard:

Display name, company name, and optional company logo URI.
UI preferences (selected language, currency, and visual theme color).
Initial business capital used for Break-Even Point (BEP) and equity calculations.

💾 Data Storage Note: Your financial records are secured locally on your device using an internal Room database. FinDash does not upload this data to external servers.

2. How We Use Information

We use the locally stored information exclusively to power the app's core features:

Calculate current cash, total income, expenses, profit, runway, BEP progress, and equity.
Display historical transaction logs and visual category summaries.
Process recurring transactions automatically based on your saved schedules.
Generate and restore structured JSON backup files upon your explicit request.
Preserve your interface preferences and business profile details across app sessions.

3. Data Transfer & Sharing

3.1 When Data Leaves Your Device

FinDash is a local-only application. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly initiate an export, backup, or share action, such as:

Saving a JSON backup file to your device storage.
Selecting a JSON backup file to restore your local app data.
Sharing data or screenshots manually through the Android Share Sheet.

Note: When you share or save these files, the selected external application, cloud storage provider, or recipient will receive the data contained within that export.

3.2 Third-Party Service Providers

Because we do not operate a backend server, we do not sell, rent, share, or transfer your financial or business data to any third parties.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

You have full control over your data. It remains on your device until managed, replaced, or removed:

5. Security & Device Protection

Because your data is stored locally, the security of your business records relies directly on your device's security. We strongly recommend protecting your device using a secure PIN, password, or biometric lock (fingerprint/face recognition).

6.1 Financial and Business Disclaimer

FinDash provides informational calculations only. Cash flow metrics, runway estimates, BEP progress, profit tracking, and equity calculations should not be treated as professional financial, tax, accounting, legal, or business advice. Business dynamics and tax rules vary. Always consult a qualified professional before making major investment, tax, or operational business decisions.

6.2 Children's Privacy

FinDash is intended for individuals capable of managing business finance information. The app does not knowingly collect, request, or store data from children.
