3. Data Deletion Instructions

ResignReady operates offline-first and stores all records locally on your device. You have absolute control over your data and can delete it at any time:

• Transactions: Open the transaction history screen, select the specific transaction, and tap delete.
• Budgets: Open the Budget screen, select the category, and remove it.
• Goals: Open the Goals screen, select your target goal, and delete it.
• Employment Settings: Clear or overwrite the information inside the severance calculator flow.
• Complete Wipe: To permanently remove all data, clear the app's storage via Android Settings > Apps > ResignReady > Storage > Clear Data, or simply uninstall the application.
• Exported Files: Manually delete any generated PDF or CSV files from your device's file manager or the external directories where you saved them.

📍 Data & Privacy

Q: Where is my data stored?

A: Everything stays on your device. Transactions, budgets, and goals are stored securely in the app's local Room database. UI preferences (language, theme, display name) and employment configurations are stored via Shared Preferences.

Q: Does ResignReady send my data to a server?

A: No. ResignReady is a local-only application. We do not operate a backend server, and your data is never uploaded or tracked externally.

Q: When does my data leave my device?

A: Only when you explicitly trigger it. Data leaves your device exclusively if you choose to export a PDF/CSV report or share a severance calculation using the Android Share Sheet.

🛠️ Troubleshooting & Features

Q: Why can't I open or share an exported PDF/CSV?

A: Please ensure your device has a compatible app installed that can read PDF files (like Google Drive or Adobe Reader) or CSV files (like Google Sheets). If sharing fails, regenerate the export and select a different target app.

Q: Are the severance calculations legally binding?

A: No. The severance calculator provides general estimates based on user inputs and standard Indonesian labor reference guidelines. It does not constitute official legal or financial advice.

Q: Why are only English and Indonesian available?

A: These are currently the primary maintained languages to ensure accuracy in both user experience and regional severance regulations. More languages may be introduced in future updates.
